Isla Rose Releases “Strip Out Every Part of Me,” a Defiant Alt-Pop Anthem of Self-Reclamation

The American-British artist previews her upcoming EP, Pulse, with a song about breaking free from inherited expectations and reclaiming personal autonomy.

Isla Rose releases “Strip Out Every Part of Me,” the lead single from her forthcoming EP, Pulse. Released on October 16, 2026, the track explores the point at which familiar beliefs, traditions, and expectations no longer reflect who someone has become. Leaving those structures behind can feel like dismantling an entire identity, but it can also mark the beginning of a more independent life. “I wrote this song when I was finally done compromising,” Rose explains, describing the single as the ideal entry point into her next project. Direct, emotionally charged songwriting meets dynamic electronic production, moving between atmospheric textures and a driving rhythmic pulse. That contrast gives the track its central tension: the vulnerability of letting go and the resolve required to move forward without continuing to perform a role that no longer fits.

Rose’s personal journey informs the song’s themes. Raised between Kentucky and Mississippi, she began exploring music at ten, playing drums and spending years in local bands shaped by the region’s Southern blues heritage. She eventually moved to London to study music production and sound engineering, broadening her creative perspective and taking control of writing, engineering, and producing her own material. Her sound combines intimate, atmospheric vocals with forceful electronic arrangements, an approach established on her debut EP, No Answers. The release surpassed 670,000 streams, earned support from BBC Introducing, and landed on Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds Pop and Cozy Blend. Her single “Don’t Mess Around Honey” also received a featured placement on Love Island USA. With Pulse still awaiting an announced release date, “Strip Out Every Part of Me” introduces a new chapter centered on creative independence, personal transformation, and the decision to stop living by expectations that no longer belong to you.
