The Los Angeles indie-pop band will perform in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana, alongside a screening of their complementary film

Inner Wave will arrive in Mexico this September with their “Mexico Tour 2026,” bringing their blend of indie pop, alternative rock, psychedelic guitars and synthetic atmospheres to Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana. The Los Angeles group will play Foro Indie Rocks! on September 17, C3 Stage in Guadalajara on September 19, and Marko Disko in Tijuana on September 22, as part of a touring chapter shaped by their latest album, SEE YOU WHEN I GET BACK. Released in 2026 and featuring 13 tracks, the record expands Inner Wave’s exploration of melodies, synthesizers and psychedelic textures. Songs including “SWEET,” “ONLY FOR YOUR EYES,” “IF YOU LIKE” and “HIGHWAYS” are part of this new chapter, which the band will bring to Mexican stages alongside songs that have defined their career.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, and formed by childhood friends with Latin roots, Inner Wave have spent more than a decade developing an identity where pop sensitivity, indie rock, psychedelia and science-fiction imagery intersect. Underwater Pipe Dreams (2017) helped establish that approach, while SEE YOU WHEN I GET BACK marks another stage of creative exploration for the group. The project also expands into film through a complementary movie and a lyric book featuring photographs, documenting the band’s growth as well as behind-the-scenes moments from the production. Written by Sotelo after bringing together several friends to participate, the film draws directly from Inner Wave’s experiences, moving between emotional and satirical moments. It will be screened at Cine Tonalá on Friday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m.
