High Sierra Club presents Love All by Itself Isn’t Enough, a six-track EP that explores the more complicated sides of relationships through a simple but uncomfortable premise: love alone cannot always sustain a connection. The Las Vegas band places miscommunication, recurring arguments, and unresolved hurt at the centre of a release that combines the anthemic energy of 2010s pop punk with emotionally direct songwriting. Accountability, shame, rumination, and the tension between opposing feelings shape an EP designed equally for late-night reflection and loud, cathartic singalongs.
Following “Early Sundown,” the band’s strongest-performing single to date, the EP marks another step forward for a group formed in 2018. While maintaining the melodic energy at the core of their sound, High Sierra Club expands their influences toward artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Mat Kerekes, balancing strong arrangements with emotional vulnerability. The band’s DIY approach also defines the release: vocalist and guitarist Matt wrote, produced, mixed, and mastered the EP, while each member contributed their performances. Rather than offering easy answers to complicated relationships, the record stays inside those unresolved tensions and turns them into songs that feel intimate, honest, and deeply relatable.
