The new single previews the upcoming album Bric-a-Brac Attack with a cinematic blend of folk, soul and summer-inspired pop.
Plain Mister Smith has unveiled “Dream Gigantic”, a new single taken from his forthcoming sophomore album Bric-a-Brac Attack. Featuring guest appearances from Findlay Brown and Krystle Dos Santos, the track was inspired by the artist’s enduring fascination with Paris and a visit to the city following the Olympic Games. Built around warm grooves, acoustic drums, lush keyboards and a melodic bass line, the song captures the feeling of being completely immersed in a summer moment with someone you love.
Formerly a guitarist for Canadian darkwave outfit Moev and currently a cellist with the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra, Plain Mister Smith continues to refine a sound that merges cinematic pop, folk influences and soulful songwriting. Brown contributes his distinctive Americana-inspired vocal style, while JUNO Award-winning singer Krystle Dos Santos adds rich jazz and R&B textures, resulting in a collaboration that deepens the song’s emotional resonance. “Dream Gigantic” serves as an inviting introduction to the world of Bric-a-Brac Attack, due later this summer.
