A Barbie doll, memories of Charlie’s Angels, and the imagined scrutiny of the neighbors all belong to the personal map Adjenai reconstructs in “Everything Bagel.” What once felt like a collection of suspicious gestures during adolescence takes on a different meaning with time: small clues to an identity that had not yet found the words to express itself.
