Chasing Dreams – “Back Home” | Alternative rock about finding shelter in other people

Going back home does not necessarily mean returning to a place. On “Back Home,” Chasing Dreams turns that idea into a reflection on the relationships that can restore stability when life becomes difficult. Nearly two years after time won’t tear us apart, the German band shifts the focus of its narrative from pain, loss and grief toward gratitude for the people who remain present, even across distance or uncertainty.

The image of an anchor carries much of that meaning. Against long nights, painful memories, fading hope and the feeling of being emotionally divided, there is someone who listens and remembers who we are when we have forgotten ourselves. But the gesture does not remain one-sided.
