NOTEP Releases PAKARANG, an Electronic EP Inspired by Ocean Memory and Environmental Restoration

Six tracks connecting coral reefs, natural cycles and human consciousness

NOTEP releases PAKARANG, her six-track EP out September 4, 2026 via Platoon. The project expands her exploration of electronic music, nature and consciousness, building on singles such as “Radio” and “Crystallise.” The title track opens the EP with a field recording captured at a coral nursery in Koh Mak, Thailand, while NOTEP participated in reef restoration alongside Coral Gardeners Thailand. Ambient textures, vocal layers and organic ocean recordings establish a project centered on coral reefs as keepers of memory and on the interconnectedness of natural and human systems. Spoken Thai words reinforce the concept, while the track emerged from a spontaneous writing session with London-based musician Tomos.

The focus track “Purnama Flow” translates that philosophy into laidback electronic grooves and atmospheric textures. Created during a full moon in Bali with producer Kookojak, it incorporates a sample from a traditional Northern Thai song from Chiang Mai, NOTEP’s hometown. Its central message is about trusting life’s natural flow rather than forcing control. The project extends beyond the EP through listening sessions in Bangkok and Bali, audiovisual performances, a retreat in Koh Mak and Koh Kood, and an expedition to Koh Surin planned for December. As a founding member and ambassador of Coral Gardeners Thailand, NOTEP integrates conservation directly into her artistic practice.
