The question at the heart of “What Else Could Be Done?” refuses an easy answer. Within Blue Light Filter, Fabergé Falls’ debut album conceived as a refuge from everyday noise, the track creates an introspective space where exhaustion, escape and uncertainty become part of the same emotional movement. From Paris, the quintet turns that unresolved feeling into a song that looks inward without losing its momentum.
“How strong am I?” and “Where I belong” place the narrator in front of an identity still being rebuilt. The desire to flee exists alongside the need to understand what remains afterward, while “To flee, to grieve, to doubt” condenses a cycle that never promises complete resolution. That lack of certainty is part of the song’s appeal: accepting that some questions may remain unanswered does not make the experience meaningless. Instead, resilience emerges through the decision to keep what has been learned and use it as a starting point.
Psychedelia breathing through pop melodies
Fabergé Falls works across psych pop, indie pop, psychedelic rock and electronic elements. Atmospheric textures, enveloping guitars and hypnotic harmonies create a contemplative space while keeping melody at the center. Recorded live for Blue Light Filter, the track preserves the album’s balance between pop accessibility and psychedelic drift.
Escape as another way forward
The idea of fleeing gains greater weight when it stops meaning simple distance. “What Else Could Be Done?” frames moving forward as an act of acceptance: acknowledging the wounds, releasing the demand for definitive answers and continuing with what the journey has left behind. Its strongest quality lies in that tension between vulnerability and movement.
