The Canadian rock icon revisits one of the most personal and influential albums of her career through a new 2026 vinyl edition.
Bif Naked is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Superbeautifulmonster with a special vinyl reissue arriving in 2026. Often described by the artist herself as her favourite album, the record represented a major creative turning point, embracing heavier guitars, darker textures and a more emotionally expansive approach. Recorded at Vancouver’s legendary Mushroom Studios with producers Dave Fortman, Kevin Kadish and Peter Karroll, the album delivered standout tracks such as “Let Down” and “Everyday”, songs that remain central to her legacy and live performances.
Spanning thirteen tracks, Superbeautifulmonster explores themes of heartbreak, resilience, gratitude and personal transformation. The album also features a celebrated reinterpretation of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”, highlighting the heavier influences woven throughout the project. Twenty years after its original release, the vinyl reissue invites both longtime fans and new listeners to revisit an album that helped define Bif Naked’s enduring impact on alternative rock and showcased the emotional honesty that continues to resonate across generations.
