The independent band blends garage rock, dark psychedelia, and analog warmth into a deeply intimate release
Sextape of Lovers return with “You’re Mine”, a haunting and emotionally raw single that transforms a real-life twelve-year romance into a hypnotic listening experience. Built around an intimate and deeply analog sensibility, the track was written over the course of three years, allowing its lyrics and melodies to evolve naturally until they felt completely honest. Recorded entirely live by the band without outside producers or studio separation, the song captures a visceral sense of closeness through tremolo-drenched guitars, warm vocals, and an atmosphere shaped by nostalgia and emotional tension.
Drawing influence from garage rock, dark psychedelia, and primal blues, “You’re Mine” channels the spirit of artists such as The Raconteurs, Alexandra Savior, and Depeche Mode while unfolding at a slow, deliberate pace that allows every word to resonate. The release also reflects the journey of Sextape of Lovers, a project founded by Alexander Shterle that has moved across Russia, Turkey, and Argentina while remaining fully independent. More than a love song, “You’re Mine” becomes a meditation on the kind of love that lingers long after everything else fades away.
