The Argentine singer-songwriter’s new album traces the escalation of gender violence through eight deeply personal songs
Aye Estévez releases “8 pasos”, a conceptual album that explores gender violence from its earliest warning signs to femicide. Inspired by a real-life experience the artist lived through in 2022, the record reflects on the normalization of everyday violence and the impunity surrounding it. Across eight songs, Aye Estévez creates an emotional journey that transforms seemingly minor situations into a powerful narrative about the dangers of ignoring the first manifestations of abuse.
Produced alongside Diego Lamastra, Daniel Rugonyi and More Gemma, “8 pasos” also features collaborations with Valentina Cooke, Guadalupe Mol, Lula Bertoldi, China Roldán, Natasha Doe and Eva Gou, all connected to the Ciclo Bestias collective. Alongside the album and its accompanying visual album created with MonoMujer, Aye Estévez is already preparing the official live presentation on November 8 at Auditorio Oeste, reinforcing an artistic vision where music becomes memory, protest, and collective reflection.
