ORAEN – “prophecy&failure.” | Rejecting the fate others impose

Trust in a system can become a source of vulnerability when belonging depends on meeting someone else’s expectations. In “prophecy&failure.,” ORAEN turns that disillusionment into a statement of resistance. The narrative begins with an inherited belief in conformity before rejecting structures that exclude those who fail to fit their rules, whether because of how they speak, feel, or live.

Prophecy represents the future others attempt to dictate; failure becomes a label used to discredit those who refuse to comply. Against both, the narrator rejects the idea of a final sentence. The image of continuing to run after every fall turns perseverance into a collective gesture: moving forward does not mean ignoring the wounds, but refusing to let them determine the outcome. The anger comes from feeling used and abandoned, yet it also creates room to reclaim one’s voice.

Guitars, electronics, and confrontation

Moving between punk and alternative rock, “prophecy&failure.” combines forceful guitar riffs, explosive vocals, and electronic textures. Synth layers expand the guitars’ impact, while the performance retains the urgency of a protest song. The intensity supports a narrative that shifts between accusation, rupture, and determination.

Failure as a starting point

Featured on the 2026 EP ARC TWO // PROPHECY X FAILURE, the track challenges the authority of those who claim the right to define other people’s worth. ORAEN turns that confrontation into an assertion of autonomy: a system may impose a label, but it cannot decide what it means to keep going.
