Alexandra Feusi Releases “Business”, an Ironic Take on the Work of Being an Artist

The Swiss-Polish artist returns to Iptamenos Discos with a single blending electronic music, humour, and the contradictions of sustaining a creative life.

Alexandra Feusi returns to Iptamenos Discos with “Business”, a single released on 30 September 2026 alongside an accompanying video. The track takes a wry look at creative ambition and the everyday demands of building an artistic career. Written and composed by Feusi and produced by Austrian producer Sebastian “Zebo” Adam, whose credits include Bilderbuch, Wanda, and Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys, the song places the tension between making art and managing a career at the centre of its narrative. Opening with the line “I wanted to become a clown / But became a painter instead”, Feusi finds humour in the distance between ambition and reality. The refrain “I make business / Big business” casts her as both creator and salesperson, while the playful delivery reveals a familiar contradiction: the demands of a creative career can gradually push creativity itself aside.

Musically, “Business” moves between indie dance, disco, house, and leftfield electronic pop, balancing playful expression with a subtle melancholy. It follows her 2023 debut single “Hello Sunday”, which has surpassed 750,000 streams and received airplay from outlets including ORF FM4, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, ByteFM, Polskie Radio Czwórka, KEXP, and Tsugi Radio. Feusi works across music, DJing, and visual art, dividing her time between Vienna, Zurich, and Kyoto. She studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, graduating from the latter with distinction, and completed an exchange year at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2023/24. Her visual practice explores relationships between bodies, environments, humans, and animals, using contrasts to approach complex subjects. With “Business”, that same sensibility enters her songwriting, turning the routines, ambitions, and contradictions of creative work into the subject of the song itself.
