RXW – “Bad Habits” | Knowing you are dangerous and moving closer anyway

A warning becomes useless once desire decides to ignore it. On “Bad Habits,” RXW builds its tension around a narrator who understands his capacity to cause harm and chooses to make that danger explicit rather than disguise it. “I’m bad news for you” becomes a recurring sentence, turning attraction into a conscious decision: getting closer means knowing what might follow.

That contradiction gives the track its emotional center. The narrator asks whether the other person is truly willing to surrender while simultaneously telling them to stay away. Awareness does not erase desire; if anything, it seems to intensify it. The wolf deepens the song’s instinctive imagery, presenting a figure that moves through the night in pursuit while trying to uncover the truth behind another person’s lies. Temptation becomes less an accident than a choice made with the danger already visible.

Dark electronics caught between seduction and threat

RXW blends alternative rock, emo and alt pop with a dark electronic foundation. Cinematic textures and a nocturnal atmosphere maintain the tension between sensuality and danger, while the rock-driven energy gives the track additional weight. The production acts as an extension of the conflict, refusing to let the song settle entirely into seduction.

A warning nobody wants to hear

The wolf and the repeated “I’m bad news for you” reduce the narrative to an uncomfortable truth: recognizing a pattern does not necessarily mean breaking it. The reference to the narrator’s mother adds an outside voice that had already identified the danger. Between desire, curiosity and self-awareness, RXW turns a potentially toxic relationship into a space where both sides seem to understand they should stop, yet keep moving forward.
