What if having less could actually make a life feel fuller? “All These Things” builds its answer around that quiet contradiction, turning simplicity into an emotional choice rather than a form of deprivation. seeTrees approaches the idea through warm, unhurried indie folk-rock, where a small apartment, shared memories and the presence of someone loved become more meaningful than the constant pursuit of something bigger. As the second single from their forthcoming album, the track feels like a deliberate pause from that pressure.
“Nothing and everything” captures the song’s central tension. The “one bed apartment” is not presented as an incomplete life, but as enough when affection and memory remain intact. References to simpler times, lovers and natural landscapes gradually shift the focus from what might be missing toward what is already there. Letting go becomes less about giving something up and more about recognizing when the chase itself has become unnecessary.
Warm guitars, restrained motion
Relaxed guitars, intimate vocals, bass and a discreet drum groove create a sound rooted in earlier American rock and folk while retaining a contemporary perspective. Luke Adams’ production favors warmth over immediate impact, with Jason Abraham Roberts’ guitars shaping much of the emotional landscape. The result feels nostalgic without becoming a strictly retro exercise.
When letting go becomes freedom
Light, shadows, waves and sparrows carried by the wind turn nature into a language for release. Everything moves gradually, mirroring the song’s invitation to stop holding on so tightly. Its strongest quality is the way that idea exists within the arrangement itself: restrained instrumentation leaves enough room for a much larger emotional picture. “All These Things” becomes most compelling when it makes simplicity feel expansive.
