Pearly Drops x ultra caro x 8485 – More Delusional | Living between reality and desire

Artwork(s) by Sandra Tervonen at Studio Pearly Drops.

“More Delusional” feels like a transmission arriving from a place where the boundaries between imagination and reality have begun to dissolve. Pearly Drops, alongside ultra caro and 8485, expand the ethereal atmosphere of the original track into something even more fragmented and emotionally immersive. Through vaporous synthesizers and voices that seem suspended outside of time, the song explores the need to invent alternate versions of ourselves when the world becomes difficult to understand.

Its narrative revolves around identity, idealisation and the search for meaning amid uncertainty. Delusion is presented not as deception, but as a form of emotional survival. The song portrays people suspended between who they are and who they dream of becoming, inhabiting a space where escapism and self-discovery coexist. That emotional fragility becomes the most human aspect of the entire composition.

Digital dream pop with hyperpop undertones

“More Delusional” blends indie pop, dream pop and experimental synthpop through ethereal synthesizers, digital textures and processed vocals that create a constant feeling of weightlessness. The contributions of ultra caro and 8485 introduce emotional hyperpop influences while preserving Pearly Drops’ distinctive dreamlike aesthetic.

Getting lost to find yourself

The track conveys longing, vulnerability and a gentle melancholy that never fully slips into despair. Its greatest strength lies in capturing the tension between escaping reality and using imagination as a tool for rebuilding identity.
