The Chilean psychedelic folk-rock band begins a new chapter with a politically charged single about inequality, consumerism and environmental impact.
El Fruto del Ruido returns with “Tan Agradecida”, the first single from their forthcoming full-length album Caliboro, scheduled for release in August 2026. Formerly known as Daniela Gatica y El Fruto del Ruido, the Chilean band continues to expand its psychedelic folk-rock sound through a composition driven by electric guitars, saxophone, dynamic rhythms and unexpected musical shifts. The track moves from a sparse opening into a rich and immersive arrangement that highlights the group’s adventurous approach to songwriting and production.
Lyrically, “Tan Agradecida” examines the tension between everyday comforts and the social and environmental costs behind them. Described by the band as the most political song on the record, the single questions class inequality, environmental destruction and the contradictions of contemporary capitalism. The release also introduces a renewed lineup featuring saxophonist Gabriel Preller and the return of bassist Emilio Decinti, while setting the stage for the arrival of Caliboro and a new era for the band.
