The Toronto and Gothenburg duo blend Byrds-inspired jangle, classic country and transatlantic storytelling on their first full-length release.
Fuses unveil Sawdust in the Transmission, their debut album released via Having Fun Records, bringing together the musical worlds of Swedish musician Moa-Linn Rosenlöf and Canadian songwriter Craig Fahner. Drawing from 1960s folk rock, classic country and Americana traditions, the record combines jangling guitars, rich vocal harmonies and atmospheric steel guitar to create a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Built through long-distance collaboration, the album reflects the landscapes, memories and experiences that connect the duo across continents.
Recorded at Gothenburg’s legendary Nacksving Studios, Sawdust in the Transmission explores themes of distance, belonging and emotional resilience through vivid storytelling and expansive arrangements. Highlights such as “Garden of Ashes”, “Aniline” and “Floor Is Lava” showcase the duo’s ability to balance intimate songwriting with cinematic scope, creating a collection that feels rooted in tradition while remaining distinctly their own. The result is a debut that captures the spirit of connection across geography, culture and personal history.
