The French-British songwriter begins a new chapter with Capitane Records ahead of her 2027 debut album
Blumi returns with “Jaguar”, a delicate meditation on the balance between solitude and human connection. Rather than idealizing isolation, the song embraces the idea that joy ultimately emerges through our relationships with others. Blending alternative folk, jazz influences and understated arrangements, the track allows silence and vulnerability to become essential elements of its storytelling. The release also marks Blumi’s first collaboration with Capitane Records and offers an early glimpse into her debut album, scheduled for early 2027.
Behind Blumi is Emma Broughton, a French-British songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who left academic research to fully embrace her artistic path. Recorded at La Frette Studios and co-composed with Romain Vasset, “Jaguar” expands a sonic identity that resonates with artists such as Beth Gibbons, Rozi Plain and Adrienne Lenker. More than a song about solitude, it becomes a quiet invitation to stop fleeing from life’s joyful chaos and rediscover meaning through shared experiences.
