The Costa Rican band dive into a rawer sound while reflecting on impermanence and emotional fragility
Dylan Thomas release “Desapariciones”, a new single that signals a more visceral and unpredictable chapter for the Costa Rican band. Originally developed from a loose demo during rehearsals, the track embraces a fuller and more intense sound that captures the energy of their live performances while maintaining a deeply introspective atmosphere. Through dense layers, unresolved tension and emotional unease, the song reflects on the fragility of relationships and the inevitable passage of time.
“Desapariciones” also serves as the first glimpse into Este lugar no es aquí, an upcoming EP where Dylan Thomas will continue pushing their sound toward rawer and more experimental territory. At the same time, the band is preparing a new Latin American tour and a vinyl reissue of Todo se desvanece (2024) through Burnt Toast Vinyl, reinforcing a career defined by constant evolution and artistic exploration within the Central American alternative scene.
