In “saxxxrum,” Kikù Hibino, Merzbow, and Patrick Shiroishi open with a saxophone that bursts in abruptly, only to be overtaken by an overwhelming field of noise that reshapes it in real time. There’s no conventional narrative; instead, the piece unfolds as a space of constant friction between organic expression and abrasive intensity. At a certain point, intensity stops being a feature and becomes the environment itself.

Positioned within noise and harsh noise wall, the track merges instrumental improvisation with extreme textural density. The saxophone acts as a fleeting anchor, gradually dissolving into a saturated sonic surface that alters its role.
