La pista aborda el duelo adolescente, la pérdida, la separación emocional y el crecimiento involuntario que ocurre cuando la vida golpea antes de tiempo. La narración se sitúa cerca de un lago, símbolo de calma y peligro, donde los protagonistas entienden que la luz del día —la mañana— transforma las cosas por dentro.
Musicalmente, la canción navega entre el neo-soul y el indie pop con un sonido puro y sin artificios, sustentado por una instrumentación cálida, cercana y honesta.
