“Patrol trata sobre una noche de insomnio en una relación, en la que todo llega a un punto crítico. Cuando las cosas feas que ambos cargan ya no pueden ocultarse, así que dices ‘al diablo’ y dejas que lo destructivo salga a la luz con la esperanza de liberarse juntos. Quise escribir algo crudo y honesto sobre eso, dejando que la oscuridad sea un catalizador para la luz”

Sarah von Reis creció en Gotemburgo y dice que su música está influenciada por el lenguaje melódico del jazz sueco, el indie pop de su adolescencia y una gran pasión por contar historias. En sus primeros años como artista formó parte del fenómeno Dolly Style dando una huella sensible en algunas de sus canciones pero el zapato no le quedó y el final fue inevitable. Pero al igual que The Rise of the Phoenix, regresó como solista y el primer sencillo fue reproducido en la televisión nacional sueca por la leyenda del periodista Fredrik Strage.

Patrol is about a sleepless and waking night in a relationship where everything is coming to a head. When the ugly stuff you both are carrying no longer can be swept away so you say, fuck it, and let the destructive stuff get air in hope to become free together. I wanted to write something raw and honest about that, to let darkness be a catalyst for light.

Sarah von Reis grew up in Gothenburg and says her music is influenced by the melodic language of Swedish jazz, the indie pop of her adolescence and a great passion for storytelling. In her first years as an artist she was part of the Dolly Style phenomenon, leaving a noticeable mark on some of her songs, but the shoe didn’t fit and the end was inevitable. But like The Rise of the Phoenix, he returned as a solo artist and the first single was played on Swedish national television by journalist legend Fredrik Strage.
