El pasado viernes 23 de mayo, la artista canaria Ale Bardeau presentó Again, una balada melancólica que se convirtió en el segundo y penúltimo adelanto de su esperado EP debut, previsto para junio de 2025. La canción, cargada de sensibilidad y emoción contenida, habló directamente a quienes siempre repiten: “esta vez es diferente”, aunque en el fondo sepan que no lo es. Ale ofreció una interpretación sincera y vulnerable que logró conectar con quienes aman sin frenos, incluso cuando el corazón ya conoce el desenlace.
Again fue también un punto de inflexión personal para Ale. Fue la primera canción que grabó para este proyecto, producida inicialmente en formato demo junto a Ykay Ledezma (Los Sabandeños) en los estudios Multitrack de Tenerife—el mismo lugar donde su abuela, la cantante Nené Acuña, grabó un disco que había marcado profundamente a Ale. Este encuentro musical, propiciado por la admiración familiar, coincidió con su regreso a la isla tras una etapa en Madrid, iniciando así la consolidación de su propuesta artística.
La versión final del tema se grabó en Anti Studio, en Madrid, bajo la producción de Anti Horrillo, quien terminó encargándose también del resto del EP. La portada, fotografiada por su hermana en Las Raíces (Tenerife), retrató visualmente ese mundo interior que refleja la canción: Ale, vestida con un traje lila y rodeada de naturaleza, encarnó esa fantasía emocional que a veces preferimos no romper. Con Again, Ale Bardeau confirmó su capacidad para convertir lo íntimo en universal, reafirmando su lugar en la nueva generación de cantautoras españolas.
Ale Bardeau Released “Again”: A Ballad For Those Who Keep Hoping “This Time Is Different” (Spain)
On Friday, May 23, Canary Islands artist Ale Bardeau released Again, a melancholic and emotionally charged ballad that marked the second and penultimate preview of her anticipated debut EP, set for release in June 2025. The song speaks to the incurable romantics who, despite knowing it’s an illusion, still dare to dream of a future with someone they barely know. With fragile yet determined vocals, Ale sings: “Not in love again. I swear I can deal with it. I won’t be there again”—a contradictory mantra reflecting the emotional relapse of falling for someone once more.
Again also marked a pivotal chapter in Ale’s personal journey. It was the first track she recorded for the project, beginning with a demo produced in collaboration with guitarist and producer Ykay Ledezma (Los Sabandeños) at Multitrack Studios in Tenerife—the same studio where her grandmother, renowned singer Nené Acuña, had recorded an album that had deeply inspired her. That creative encounter, born from recognizing Ledezma’s name in old credits, happened as Ale returned to the island after years in Madrid, becoming the true starting point of her artistic path back home.
The final version was recorded at Anti Studio in Madrid, produced by Anti Horrillo, who would go on to shape the rest of the EP. The accompanying cover photo, taken by Ale’s sister in Las Raíces (Tenerife), visually captured the contrast between the real world and the emotional dreamscape the song inhabits. Dressed in a lilac party gown amidst nature, Ale appeared as a symbol of the romantic fantasy we often choose not to confront. With Again, she confirmed her unique voice and talent for crafting stories that feel both intimate and universally relatable—an emerging artist to watch closely.
