El proyecto Flower and Pines presenta el sencillo «Act of Historical Justice», una pista que construye una narrativa musical profunda, cruda y densa. Esta canción continúa la exploración del proyecto por los terrenos del alt rock y el art rock, destacando por una primera parte que despliega una atmósfera repetitiva con una base musical inquietante. Esta base, junto con la crudeza y fuerza de la voz, ejemplifica musicalmente la intensidad emocional y temática de la pieza.
Conforme avanza la canción, la narrativa musical se adentra en territorios más robustos, caóticos, tensos y dramáticos, perfectos para explorar el tema del irredentismo. Esta ideología, que justifica la violencia y la opresión con el pretexto de restaurar la «unidad» y la «hermandad», encuentra en «Act of Historical Justice» una expresión sonora poderosa y reflexiva, invitando al oyente a sumergirse en una experiencia auditiva tan desafiante como conmovedora.
La parte final de la letra dice: «¡Es un acto de justicia histórica! ¡Es un gesto de amor incondicional!» – representa la culminación de la hipocresía: el verdadero contenido de estas frases es lo opuesto a su esencia declarada: el concepto de «justicia histórica» se convierte en un arma de opresión y el «gesto de amor» se convierte en una justificación de la violencia.
Flower and Pines se formó en 2020 en Wroclaw por los bielorrusos Jegor Mickiewicz y Sasha Pushkin. En 2021 se lanzará el álbum debut «¿Cómo es que, padre?» fue lanzado en el sello holandés Geertruida, y en 2022 se lanzó el álbum EP titulado «Hnieu» en el mismo sello. El lanzamiento de un segundo álbum de larga duración titulado Unconditional Love está previsto para 2024.

The project Flower and Pines presents the single «Act of Historical Justice,» a track that builds a deep, raw, and dense musical narrative. This song continues the project’s exploration into the realms of alt rock and art rock, standing out for its first section, which unfolds a repetitive atmosphere over an unsettling musical foundation. This foundation, combined with the raw power of the vocals, musically exemplifies the emotional and thematic intensity of the piece.
As the song progresses, the musical narrative delves into more robust, chaotic, tense, and dramatic territories, perfectly suited to explore the theme of irredentism. This ideology, which justifies violence and oppression under the pretext of restoring «unity» and «brotherhood,» finds a powerful and thought-provoking sonic expression in «Act of Historical Justice,» inviting listeners to immerse themselves in an auditory experience that is as challenging as it is moving.
The final part of the lyrics reads, «It’s an act of historical justice! It’s a gesture of unconditional love!» – represents the culmination of hypocrisy: the true content of these phrases is the opposite of their stated essence – the concept of «historical justice» becomes a weapon of oppression, and the «gesture of love» becomes a justification for violence.
Flower and Pines was formed in 2020 in Wroclaw by Belarusians Jegor Mickiewicz and Sasha Pushkin. In 2021 the debut album «How Come, Father?» was released on the Dutch label Geertruida, and in 2022 the EP-album titled «Hnieu» was released on the same label. A second full-length album titled Unconditional Love is scheduled for release in 2024.
