El proyecto estadounidense Nova Cult presenta el sencillo «For Now», una canción que explora las posibilidades expresivas del post-grunge con tintes de stoner rock, shoegaze y alt rock. Es romántico. Pero sin esperanza. Me costó mucho cantar/encontrar la melodía que coincidiera con la «diversión» del fuzz (informado por mi necesidad de soltarme y simplificar un poco más la guitarra en ese período para mí). Entonces, comenzó a surgir del lugar de ese romántico empedernido que solo necesitaba no hundirse, sin importar el costo.

I love For Now. It’s romantic. But hopeless. I had a hard time singing/finding the melody to match the «funness» of the fuzz (informed by my need to let loose and simplify a little more on guitar in that period for me). So, it started to come from the place of that hopeless romantic that just needed it to not sink, no matter what costs.
Post-Grunge Psych Rock outfit “Nova Cult” is J.J. Dunlap’s solo return to 90’s rockdom. Formed in 2019 with the launch of his first studio LP, “Never Better”, J.J. tows the line between ethereal psych and the murky undertones of glaring 90’s grunge.
