Dwain The Po3t is a musician, psychotherapist, poet and author from East London. His style and music is heavily influenced by cinematic melodies, spoken word, concocted with an array of alternative Hip Hop and conscious rhymes and live music. Dwain is known to be a reflective thinker, with poetic and deep rooted topics on mental health, societal issues and is not afraid to show his vulnerable side. In 2016 he self-published his first book entitled ‘Ordinary to Extraordinary’. Due to his work with disaffected students, Dwain decided to write a book that challenged school systems encouraging the mind-set of teenagers in today’s society. To then go on and write a second poetry book entitled L.O.V.E – Love Oppression Victory & Evolution. Dwain is no stranger to a microphone and has flooded the airwaves with his songs over the years, such as Rinse FM, Choice FM, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Kiss FM, Dejavu and BBC Essex. He has also had major collaborations, featuring on amazing projects and exciting freestyles with the likes of Tinie Tempah, Sadie Ama, Wiley, Skepta, Bruza, D Double E, Sway Dasafo, Tinchy Stryder, Leon Jean Marie, Terri Walker, Skinnyman, Poisonous Poets, Specs Gonzalez and Foreign Beggars.
